Quebec cycling superstar Julie Arseneau has a good chance of winning the World Cup. But not many know that since the age of 14, the young woman has been injecting performance-enhancing drugs, provided by Dr. Henri Paul. However, she and JP, her trainer and lover, have developed various tactics to thwart the drug tests. The situation gets complicated when Dr. Henry is denounced by a colleague and provides the authorities with a list of his clients. Despite the cyclist’s official denials, doubt sets in with the press and the public. Undergoing tremendous pressure from the tyrannical JP; her father, who already envisions her becoming world champion; and her generous sponsor, Julie questions what she’s doing during the last race in Belgium.
